About Hemp Farmers Guild
Hemp offers many benefits for the California agricultural economy with far fewer of the environmental impacts of many other crops. We make it our mission to educate legislators, regulators and the public about the benefits of hemp. Hemp is a food source for people and animals; a raw material that can help rebuild California’s blighted rural economies with the manufacturing of environmentally sustainable materials like hemp foods, hemp proteins, Hemp juice, hempwood, hempcrete and bioplastics, and an incredible source of healing cannabinoids like CBD CBG CBN and other cannabinoid the form of raw or extractable flower.
State Legislation
Our mission is to help drive our often misguided state government towards smarter regulations that will help the hemp industry grow and thrive in our state. The Hemp Farmers Guild monitors California’s legislation and regulation so we can alert our members and help guide our state government to do better with Hemp regulations. And when we need your help, we will alert you so that you can make your voice heard.
Federal Legislation
Changes in rules for hemp derived CBD can seriously affect hemp businesses. We work with national organizations like the National Industrial Hemp Council, as well as the American Herbal Products Association . And by collaborating with organizations like the Association of Western Hemp Professionals and the Industrial Hemp Association of Washington we can develop regional consensus and share resources in lobbying and policy advocacy and analysis.
University Collaborators
By working with world class agricultural research institutions like UC Davis and the Global Hemp Innovation Center at Oregon State University we can access cutting-edge knowledge to help our members grow their businesses and grow the hemp industry.
